We are a medium sized company who has been active as a removals company for over 100 years to the satisfaction of its customers. We carry out any kind of move, from high value household moves or regular transport between administrative buildings up to relocating industrial companies. We carry out moves using trained and motivated specialists. Of course, we also provide or obtain all ancillary services connected with a move so that the customer does not have to get involved if he so wishes. Our service for commercial customers extends to utilities services or caretaker activities.

In 1968 we joined the "Deutsche Möbelspedition" (German Removers) organisation, membership of which enabled us to have a presence nationwide and internationally. In May 1996 our company and its quality management were certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 as one of the first 30 companies in its sector to do so.

How it all started…

1898—Thodor Fontane dies and Bertolt Brecht is born. Germany is moving into the modern age, including economically. RWE and ARAL are founded, as is Hilbrans. Gerhard Hilbrans, the great grandfather of the current Managing Director, recognises the opportunities offered by the continual growth of the economy and dares to take a big step. He invests in vehicles, recruits staff and receives the tender from the Reichsbahn railway for official rail cartage. The company is born.

Where we are now…

Our customers include companies such as Krupp Fördertechnik, Bayer AG, several ABB companies, Woolworth and 40 additional large European companies that currently have contracts outlined with us and our organisation going back decades (Bayer for over 30 years, Krupp for over 100 years) but we also have thousands of private customers who express their satisfaction in thank you letters, corresponding removals assessments and in repeat orders.

In 1996 we carried out the complete move of Krupp Fördertechnik from Rheinhausen to Essen for Krupp-Hoesch AG. 415 workplaces, with their furniture, and almost 10,000 boxes were moved within 4 days to the fullest satisfaction of the company and its employees. Carrying out such a move is only possible through the consistent realisation of logistical concepts with the application of the most up to date technical aids.

Storage belongs to another business area which we operate on our premises with an area of 8000m² in a modern, 1500m² hall. Here too on its introduction in 1989 we were one of the first warehousing companies in Germany to store using a new system; 20 foot steel containers. This led to a wave of rationalisation to the benefit of our customers. Essentially all imaginable, high value goods are stored, such as removals items, electronics, machinery and files. The hall is secured with an alarm system and is heated.

Alongside containers, other goods are also stored such as around 200 machine tool machines for HPC, Puttensen or complete baking lines for FSB, Duisburg (McDonald’s). An 18-tonne fork lift truck is available to handle the containers or any heavy cargo in storage.

We are thus in a position to accommodate large storage peaks from our customers and of course we offer all services involved, from storage up to delivery of the goods from storage.

Furthermore, we offer space solutions for every need with our container hire system. This can be a simple storage container but also a complete multi-office system with accommodation and sanitary facilities.
